Summary
| The
purpose of Iaeva is to provide computer access to the three-dimensional anatomical
models of human body organs, which at present can only be flexibly studied on
costly specialised equipment. The service will be based on a continuously updated
reference library of 3-D models, and will use network infrastructure already available.
Retrieval of solid models for study and manipulation will be possible at response
times acceptable to all users. User costs will be low, bringing the service within
the reach of students of medical science as well as professionals. |
