| Full title | Use of Glucowatch in patients
with recent onset type 1 diabetes. The IMDIAB group study. |
Summary
| The aim of the study is to find out
whether intensive glucose monitoring using Glucowatch can improve the integrated
parameters of metabolism in patients with type 1 diabetes of recent onset. The
parameters considered include an evaluation of glycosilated haemoglobin, insulin
levels and C-peptide. |

| Notes | In
this multicenter study, patients will receive the Glucowatch. This device can
allow measurement of blood glucose in a non-invasive way without finger pricking.
The aim is to find out whether patients with recent onset type 1 diabetes may
better control the disease using this system and adjust the insulin dose required. |
